Chataine's Guardian received the Award of Merit in the Fiction Category in 1985 from the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association.

On Stone of Help: "Excellent: Once again, Robin Hardy gives pure enjoyment and entertainment and promises of more to come” (Christian Reader's Review, Dec. 1986). "You'll see the picture of Christ's sacrificial love strikingly displayed from an angle totally unexpected” (UPI review).

On Liberation of Lystra: "When is the third book in a trilogy more than a sequel? When the novel has the power and scope of this one” (Word Book Club Digest, Vol. 2112). "Excellent: In another can't-put-down adventure Robin Hardy continues her tale of fictitious Lystra and the allegorical account of evil versus good. This conclusion to the Lystra trilogy contains even more explicit Christian principles shown in the good/evil struggle and demonstrates very well that good will ultimately triumph over evil as God is ruler of all. The complete trilogy is highly recommended reading” (Christian Reader Review, Feb. 1987).

The story of Lystra picks up one hundred years later in the Latter Annals of Lystra.
